Here at last...
So about a month and a half ago i find myself in Nanjing China, Home to Yu Hua Cha (Rain Flower Tea). Arriving on the farm, the fresh scent of green tea being pan fired hits my nose once again. As i gaze into the horizon nothing but lush, green leaves enter my gaze. The farmers greet us with a smile and we both instantly recognize a fellow tea lover. After a brief tour of the garden, i am poured my first cup. No teapot, no server, no strainer; just a tall glass and the leaves. At first sip my palate registered sweet water, but as the following sips streamed down over my tongue, and down my throat i was amazed at the incredible complexity of this new green tea. Know for it's perfect shape and incredible lingering sweetness Rain Flower was worth the trip. Back at home i waited and waited for its arrival, but a frost destroying many of the fresh buds kept me waiting. Finally it arrived!!! Just like back on the farm i enjoyed this incredible green tea in a tall glass, with amazing Rain Flower leaf!
