Anyone Have This Problem With Adagio's triniTEA?

I just got my triniTEA and love it, except the timer doesn't seem to work. It seems really random. Keeping the dial the same, the tea will drop to the final caffe at 6 minutes, 7 mins and 35 seconds, putting the dial at 7 I've had it go through in 2 minutes. Very frustrating.
