Leaking Yixing
Does anyone have any ideas for how to repair a leaking yixing teapot. The company where it came from has replaced it but did not want the leaking one back. So I am wondering if there is any way to repair the leak, a friend has recommended trying some food safe epoxy, anyone have any bright ideas?
It has a leak just above where the spout meets the body. It shipped that way, so I am not sure why. I went to my local hardware store and talked to them about some sort of epoxy to use... Their only food safe recommendation unfortunately will not stand up to the heat. So, I have pretty much given up by now. The way I look at it is that I can get a brand new one for $20-40, so its not worth much more effort, especially if it requires me purchasing a $10 tube of epoxy that may or may not work.
