Absolutely improved....OTTI and splitting some other sinchas with one kindred moderator has given me LOTS of new teas to try!

Today's teas: Ceylon Nuwara Eilya (SpecialTeas) - this tea didn't do anything for me when I first got it. I picked it out of the pile yesterday morning and now I'm lovin' it. It was so good I made it again this morning. At work my tea buddy made some fruity green tea...I poured it over ice and it became somewhat drinkable. This afternoon/evening I gave an OTTI tea, Den's Houryoku, a try. We all enjoyed iced Ceylon Nuwara with dinner on the deck (after a "h*lla hot" 10-12 days, we are enjoying a few days of delightful late-spring like weather).

Be well,
Dreamer

Had some Long Jing earlier today which was delicious. Ending the day now with some Silver Needle from Rishi. Not bad! :D

Teawise, things are about the same for me.

Lately I've been drinking a lovely Rou Gui, from Hou de, brewed in a xiao hong ni pot, and my son is home for the summer so we are drinking lots of dancong.

I'll finally have time to dig into the OTTI shincha this weekend.

A day later I am just drinking Rishi Bai Hao Oolong Hsinchu. Extra ordinarily beautiful. Totaliter aliter.

Chip, Please send some more and make it a bit bigger.

I'd say improved. As of the beginning of the year, I'd just really started investigating loose-leaf tea, I found TC which has given me such a wealth of information - and led to me trying more that I might not have tried, and building a list of what to get and where to shop once my current overstock starts running low (which probably won't happen for another couple months, but that's ok - just in time for fall Oolongs, right?)

Also, yes, I've been absent for a couple days - things have been a little hectic around the house, I've been getting ready to leave for the weekend which means laundry was done, the house was partially cleaned, etc. etc.

Probably no tea until afternoon - leaving shortly for the airport and (of course) can't carry any liquid into the airport, so there's no point in making something I'll just have to throw out because it's too hot to drink before I leave the house. *sigh* ah well, hopefully I can visit the tea store by my parent's house - oh yea, and I'm taking a sample tin of Yunnan Noir just in case!!

Improved in one sense, because I've worked my way through some of the less appealing teas in the collection, but the bulk of the collection started out excellent, and stayed that way.

Thursday's tea day started with Zhan Shu Lake Oolong from Wing Hop Fung, then moved on from green oolong to green shincha, with one from the OTTI round I (Den's Kunpu), and ended with a Taiwanese green tea made from the Jin Xuan varietal, from norbu.
