Sweet Adam. You do not waste any time to break out the new wares, do you?
OK, I certainly spend more time shopping for and buying food, though it would be interesting to do a time log for a few months ... I might be surprised.
Began the TD with the anon organic shincha followed by O-Cha's Yutaka Midori followed by Genmaicha with sushi and sashimi with the Mrs. Time for one more tea I believe.

Waste any time? I was waiting for it to arrive so I could start having Tea! BTW I do not know about the answer to this question, but should there be a teaware option, that just might win!

Definitely food.
Since my absence I've gotten a job along with summer classes so my tea time has been cut down to pretty much only drinking tea after work or trying to fix some tea while running out the door.
Btw how do yall incorporate tea into your routine at work? (no kettle at my work place, only a coffee pot and I'm not running water through there for hot water)

I definitely spend more time shopping for food, clipping coupons, making my list, etc, I actually really enjoy food shopping and only go early in the morning when it's not crowded lol! I do enjoy shopping online for tea though, and it does seem like I spend more and more time looking at and learning about different teas.

For the person that asked about preparing tea at work, I just bought the mug with the infuser in it from Adagio and plan on bringing that to work with me when I return to work in Sept, or you can also use the Ingenuitea by Adagio.

Went food shopping today ... zero tea shopping so far ... but did "look" which is different than shopping, I think.
Finishing the TD with Ali Shan, Masters series from Adagio which brewed up quite nicely in a very cool Taiwanese Dragon Gaiwanesque.

I buy food more often, but considering my limited cooking skills and my core ingredient set, I don't do a lot of thinking nor spend a lot of time shopping for food.
When I shop for tea and teaware, however, I spend a LOT of time and go back and forth between merchants and put in lots and lots of thought. So, I say tea.

Shincha start today, then some leftover Puerh this morning, still a little warm in the thermos, and now enjoying some Tie Guan Yin. Green, oolong, puerh, a nice teaDay trifecta.
And today I spent a lot of time thinking about food and shopping, because I am at a summer camp and the food, though better than average, is still camp food. Sigh.
But the teas were excellent.
For work, one solution is to get your own electric kettle; that plus a gaiwan will make anything you need. The other, that I use at one of my least user-friendly offices, is to make up a quart of good tea at home and use a high-quality thermos to keep it hot all day. Works great for many oolongs and puerhs, and can be nice for black tea too, but iffier for greens and some more tempermental/delicate teas that may lose a lot after brewing, when held in the thermos.

When I buy tea, I spend a whole lot more time on it because I care a whole lot more about tea. I actually usually have a few little items that I like to buy for food and we usually just buy a lot of those because I'm lazy. When we get sick of that, we find something else.

I spend about one hour at our local Farmers Market once a week to get our weekly supplies (that includes meat, eggs, cheese.etc.) I don't plan my meals nor spend a lot of time deciding what to get as I just pick whatever that is available on the market that week. I occasionally go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods for things that I cannot get from Farmers Market. I spend 30 minutes max there.
So I definitely spend a lot of time shopping for tea ...browsing, reading reviews, deciding what to buy and where to get it from etc...
