2009 menghai "hong yun" aroma

I received this...xiaoxiaobing last month in the mail, and it had a great aroma. now, after having a really small window of storage, the fishy-pondy aroma is very, very strong. I don't know if this is out of the ordinary or not, but I have it out of its wrapper now just sitting in a cabinet and losing that smell. What i wish to know is: did anyone else experience this with the hong yun?

I haven't had the 2009 Hong Yun, just the 2008. I have had it a few times over the past 60+ days and have not experienced any fishpond aromas. My thoughts on 2008 hong yun arehere.

Thanks for the praise, although it's unfortunate that the 2009 might not be as good as the 2008 I reviewed. I hope it manages to return to its former pleasant aromas!
