Do you pretty much get what you pay for ?
Ive been recently curious about yuuki-cha, or ippodo, even o-cha. Im looking for some really great sencha and matcha.

There are many vendors who supply high quality sencha and matcha if you're willing to import from Japan. There is no customs duty on Japanese tea or teaware unless the amount is above a certain threshold.Ambrose wrote:Ok so I love japanese greens, Ive ordered from dens and hibiki-an only so far. Im wondering where can I get some good sencha for the $My last order from hibiki-an I went with superior matcha and sencha. A big down grade from the super premium stuff in my opinion. Still much better than anything from dens.

Well spoken TIM. But it isn't always people wanting to pay nothing and to get it all.TIM wrote:Don't expect diamond if you are paying for plasticAmbrose wrote:Do you pretty much get what you pay for ?

I justed checked Yuuki-cha and the two light-steamed senchas I tried this year and would recommend are both sold out.Ambrose wrote: I like lighter steamed senchas so far is that helps any.

1. 2010 Organic Shizuoka Shincha Tenryu Misakubo $25 per 100 grams
2. 2010 Organic Shizuoka Shincha Kanayamidori $18 per 100 grams
Personally, I think the Misakubo is worth the extra $7. It is the best light-steamed sencha I have tried. Hopefully they'll restock them both.
