Newbie from Norway

by Nenugal » Aug 6th, '10, 04:09

Hi all,
I'm a PhD student (in ICT) from Norway, and I have decided to dive more deeply into the world of tea. I've already for a long time enjoyed drinking Jasmine tea and Genmai cha, but recently I got a set of 6 samples of different types of seemingly quite good quality Chinese tea that opened my eyes to some other tea types that are really tasty. My current favourite among them is a Tie Guan Yin tea, but I'm interested in expanding my horizon so I have registered at this forum, and also ordered a few different teas, including white, green, oolong, black and pu-erh from some web-shops. Hopefully the first package should arrive in a day or two. In the mean time, I'll enjoy my Tie Guan Yin :)

Welcome Victoria, I think you will like it here. :)

I have never tried Tie Guan Yin before, how does it compare to wuyi oolong in taste?
