OK, but in order to avoid what happened the last time I conducted Japanese green tasting on board a ship (coming home with some mega shincha purchases) ...

... we should definitely find a more central location!

Zencha Moe tasting in my cup!

That's pretty funny because I was thinking the same thing. Everyone rushing to Chip's side of the boat may create a problem!!

Enjoying Long Feng Xia from Tea From Taiwan.

Okay Chip´s tea table will have to be right in the middle of the ship!

I am drinking sencha today, it´s just called "organic sencha" it has....problems

I packed the pot with leaf to get more flavour of it...it´s only kind of sort of working...maybe I will try roasting the rest of it.

I´ll be happy when my order from Zencha arrives later this week :)

+1 I've not yet tried matcha, maybe I can get Chip to make me some! 8)

I'd then seek out Brandon for some of that Shui Xian he mentioned and maybe find Victoria for some DYL? :D

House Blend a la nickE today. The whole sheng/shu mix made it really strange. It tasted like a really wet-stored sheng but with lots of astringency & bitterness. I liked it, but it was just sooo weird.

Is this the same trip where we only can take one kind of tea? If so, I'll need to know how much to pre-order!

Capt'n Chip, if you could point me in the direction of Tim's tea table I'd be much obligied.

In my cup: Top grade bai jha lu from Jingteashop. It's nice, cheap green tea. Using lower temps and less leaf than I usually would makes for a pleasant cuppa.

For the potluck, you will need enough for several thousand members! Then there are the members just wanting more!

I'm also surprised about how many people want to try Puerh.

Brewed up some Da Hong Pao today, not bad. Going to finish out the day with Sae Midori from Rishi. I'm salivating already.

Good thing I just noticed this. At 11:14 :( Maybe I'll just set my clock back a bit...

Finishing off the day with my rip-off of Starbuck's Passion iced tea with lemonade.

I would bring lots of wuyi to the party and first look for Chinese oolong then Taiwan oolongs followed by Chinese and Japanese greens next.
