Exactly! Read the features of this knife and tell me it wouldn't make a good tea cup. Just think Tea Cup. :D
Oooh, that looks suspiciously like a must-have item. My current kitchen knives are pretty dull... hmmm...

I said: maybe. Generally I'm a big fan of ultra modern things/style so it's very likely I would try it.
Having Golden Curls right now, I'm seriously addicted to this tea.

I'm always open to amazing new materials that would help me brew my tea just right - and most likely I'll learn about them here. On the other hand, given another 10 years of part-time practice I might reach the point where I could make functional ceramic tea pots to use. Right now I've given up on pots and just periodically add to my tea goblet collection.

No tea yet today - I need peace and quiet to brew and savor the tea and both have been in short supply lately. Maybe a cup of jasmine silver needles later.

OK, this is an easy one. At this point new technologies leave me cold. I hardly know how to use a computer, don't have an iPhone, iPod, iPad, or any iWhatevers or their simulacra, and just got back from some very mellow days at a monastery where the offices haven't changed in all the years I've been going there. So where teaware is concerned the prudent answer is...not very likely.

I'm devoting this TD to finishing up some O-Cha Sae Midori, to clear the way for a couple other shinchas down at the bottom of the stack that I discover I haven't even gotten around to trying yet. (Even the shincha has to age a bit, apparently, before I'm ready to risk it!)

Oh yeah, glad to hear of this extraordinary metamorphisis.

Speaking of metamorphisis, well, not really. Another pu-erh to finish the TD, 2010 Bangwai from Essence of Tea/Nada. You will be hearing more of these pu-erh!

Before the pu however, a tasting of Rishi shincha kukicha from Rishi with the Mrs. which was verrrry good, hard to believe this is a byproduct tea!

Basic Big Red Robe oolong today, made in a glass teapot with a stainless steel strainer, stored in a stainless thermos, and drunk from a plastic cup. I would be more than happy to have a nice super-glass or super-ceramic non-shattering vacuum bottle and cup to drink from that would survive the trip in backpack and car and bicycle panniers as well as the steel/plastic combo did today.
