My first sencha

by Samovar » Jul 17th, '07, 14:21

I was at an art festival on Saturday and had the opportunity to try my first sencha - a cherry sencha.

Now I know what all the talk about sencha was about! It's a lovely tea.

I just ordered a Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival Tea from Culinary Teas. I cannot wait to try it!

I also ordered some Genmaicha.

Excellent. Actually, a cherry sencha was one of the first green teas I ever had.

I am curious though, do you always drink flavored tea? Once you try an unflavored sencha, you may find that you like that even more??? But enjoy your cherry sencha.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I always drink flavored teas with the exception of English Breakfast (Awake by Tazo) and an organic green tea by Bigelow.

Otherwise, I've always enjoyed the different flavors.

I have also tried a Cherry Sencha. Savouré carries one that's quite enjoyable, especially iced. It's a might bit syrupy.
I just noticed Adagio is soon to have a Cherry flavored green as well...
