OK, I found this tea in the back of my tea shelf and thought I'd give it a try before throwing it out (it's 4 years old). Surprisingly it still has a lot of life to it and I think I'll be keeping (and drinking) the rest of it.
It's a spring 2006 "girl ring" Yunnan green tea that I got from pu-erhtea.com (waaaay back in 2006). The rings are made by picking the unopened tea buds and hand rolling them... if anything I'd say this tea has a wonderful aesthetic value.
When steeping I noticed a distinct sweet aroma similar to apricots and cactus pear. The soup is a medium yellow color. The flavor is hard to place... the first thing I notice is astringency which quickly disappears leaving the taste of apricots in the back of your throat and nose, I'm surprised how long it lingers. Very interesting tea.

Yes, I read about it on a link you posted yesterday.
Very interesting/intriguing. Hand rolled by young girls, thus the name.

I think the real thing is they look like little rings...and you´d have to be a little girl for one to fit.
