My tea enjoyment never really dips, but trying new things always gives me a boost.
Hou de's Bei Dou #1 for breakfast, Hibiki-an's pinnacle sencha for lunch (2009 ou of the tea fridge), sample of Red Circle's Red Jade #18 with my son at supper, and Jing's Single Bush Ba Xian right now.
Work today was rough, but it has been a heck of a good tea day (can I say heck?).
Re: Friday TeaDay 10/1/10 A River Runs Through It?
I don't ever get tired of tea... but I do get in a rut sometimes, drinking the same things over and over. So, as others have said, something new is always refreshing. It doesn't have to be "brand new" but just a change of pace from my vast array of teas on hand. For example, I have been on a Darjeeling kick for a couple of weeks, and haven't had any green or oolong during that time. Seems its about time for a shift of gears.
I also find that changing drinking vessels is a pick-me-up. I've been traveling for a couple of weeks, drinking out of generic cups. I'm really looking forward to wrapping my hands around one of my favorite yunomi. I feared too much of breakage to take one with me.
Today in my cup, all day, was Puttabong FF from Tea Emporium.

This does happen to me actually, though very rarely ... and usually if I allow myself to get into a rut which does happen. Question is, is it just the tea or the tea experience. I think the tea causes it, which then spills over into the tea experience. So cause and effect, tea being the cause and the experience being the effect.
Soooo, changing the teas for a bit or even a slight modification in how I am brewing will usually remedy the situation.
Great TD yesterday, no ruts. Sencha sencha sencha ...
