Kamjove Portable Brewing Mugs
Yunnan sourcing has a bunch of them, has anyone here used them? I´m wondering if you can drink comfortably out of them without pouring into another mug. I´m not really sure exactly how they work.

Re: Kamjove Portable Brewing Mugs
Mine is the same as the TP-120 of the Dragon Teahouse. I love it because the top cage is only 120ml, perfect for oolong. And the whole thing is easy to deal with. It's my office tea mug. With the top portion removed, the glass mug can be used for grandpa brewing of green tea.
I've been recommending it to people who are new to oolong and puerh too because many of them can't imagine how it's possible to do 15sec. infusions.

I had one of these for about 4 years before it broke. I didn't really use it as a mug, but you could for sure. I just used it like a teapot. You put your tea in the upper basket with the water. There is a button activated drain that pokes through the lid. Once you are done steeping, you depress that clear plastic button and the liquid drops from the upper basket into the glass carafe. The plastic button is actually a long rod that activates the strainer basket. That rod is what eventually broke and made useless the whole apparatus. I guess I could have used a straw or something like that. I think they are pretty funtional, but I would just as soon use a teapot or a ceramic mug I have with a ceramic basket and lid.

Thank you for the replies, that gives me a much better idea how it works.
