Weekend TeaDays 10/16-17/10 TEA versus TEAWARE?

Last year, this question would be easy to answer, clearly teaware. 2010 however was much less teaware. So I am thinking tea, by a nose.

Began the TD with Sencha Premier from Adagio with the Mrs. Next up, a retasting of a possible sencha for OTTI, reallly tough work!

Currently drinking tea made from water heated in the fancy pino digital kettle pro, from a relatively inexpensive and quite lovely 'jade pole' green yunnan tea from Yunnan Sourcing, which is sweet and lovely this morning, infused in a cheap glass teapot, and drinking from a random mug (not one of my own collection), and it is just delicious, sweet, a little fruity, a little spicy, a little vegetal, just wonderful tea.

Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive to be great tea.

have been buying slightly less tea this year and much more teaware....it´s not a lot of teaware but that I´ve actually bought some is a huge increase over last year.

Not sure I have a good answer for this question, as I want to say I decreased my acquisition of both tea and teaware. Though I am unsure which I have decreased more.

Currently having some of Dao Tea's Kim Jong Yeol Balhyocha. A wonderful tea for the changing seasons, as I am really not in the mood for green tea anymore.

Definitely more tea than teaware, although I did purchase some teaware I really love this year-- a Japanese tea set ($1.00 at a garage sale ) and a Japanese-style mug to replace one that met its end at the hands of overly careless parcel handlers.

I have been drinking so much pu-erh today. Not sure why, I just felt like it. Taking a break from that for a cup of shoumei white tea at the moment.

More tea than teaware this year. Last year I splurged and bought most of my teaware needs, so I should be set for a few years with teaware...or so I keep telling mystelf

For me it's "the more Tea the better". For Breakfast I made a pot of Taiwan high mountain Ali Shan Oolong. It's a little bit chilly out today, I had to put on a jacket to go out and feed my extended family of cats.

Had a bit of a lazy tea day, no formal session, but I am on my second round of casually brewed Yukata Midori Classic from O-Cha. Which is being consumed from a Seigan Ao Teb.

Speaking of teaware ... Ice Split by Yamane Seigan, some nice Tokoname Kyusu-s. Great TeawareDay.

And a great TD as well. Started with a prelim tasting of a new sencha with the Mrs. And then Sencha Premier, a surprisingly good entry in the sencha derby. I think it is much better than any previous offering by our host.

Definitely tea, not much expensive teaware being bought. That may change eventually, however.
