1998 Menghai Peacock Tuo

by Drax » Oct 31st, '10, 17:47

I picked up a sample of this pu'erh (sheng) from Hou De a number of months ago, but for some reason I forgot to write down any info on it.

Does anybody have any info on it by any chance? (:

It's still got a young bite to it, given that it's 12 years old. Kind of reminded me of the 2005 Yiwu that Tim proffered for the OTTI #5...

hi,
not too sure what you want to know?
Porbably a tuo with a little peacock in the upper left part of the wrapper and a red ribbon embedded into the tuo.
If yes then maybe look for red ribbon tuo rather than peacock tuo.
I think newbies can't post link; so search taobao for:
勐海 红丝带 沱茶
= menghai red ribbon tuocha

There's a taobao mall shop that got some from 2003 for 108rmb /100g tuo. caveat emptor; but they say they guarantee it's real and it's taobao *mall* not just a taobao shop.

just in case, 孔雀 = peacock.
Thing is, they made quite a few tuos with this kind of wrapper, I'm not sure they're all the same...
