Began the TD with a Yutaka Midori Supreme from the O-C with the Mrs. served in Hagi SO #6 Sansai!

Coming next, gyokuro, switching cups to ultra small Hagi in order to most fully appreciate this precious dew ...

If it's a multi-tea day, then yes, because likely that means one at work and one at home. If multiple at home, then it depends on the tea and whether ot not it is being shared, but the cup usually changes. At work i'm pretty much stick with my one teacup, regardless of how much tea I have.

Yunnan noir today. Maybe Otti 6 #1 this evening when I get home.

Varies with the tea - why have a cabinet filled with teaware if I don't use it?

So, this morning I enjoyed my Tai Ping Hou Kui in a glass. Puerh is brewed in my small Tea Gallery gaiwan and then drunk from my smallest tea goblet (Note to self - must make a new one that's even smaller). Chinese greens other than TPHK I brew in my Adagio tasting set which comes with its own cup. Still in the market for a larger gaiwan to use for brewing and drinking those chinese greens and whites that seemingly can never be overbrewed.

And then of course when I receive the next 2 OTTIs and I dust off my kyusu - it's back to the tea goblet collection.

I still dont have many tea cups...I just use a general purpose mug for most things...I´ll switch to my chawan for matcha and sometimes sencha.

At work I only have one teacup, so use it throughout the day. At home I also generally use the same teacup if I change teas. The only reason I would use multiple cups is when comparing multiple teas at once. Today drinking Alishan unroasted Jin Xuan from Ishopo. Very tasty.

Kame Jirushi Gyokuro from the O-C ... switched over to Choun Hagi gyo set. Crazy goodness that is definitely enhanced by the proper cups (and houjin, yuzamashi). The cups hold 1.25 ounces each to the rim.

I like my big Fiestaware mug in the morning to get me started with a hearty black tea, but I have a couple of others that I rotate. Other times of the day I may use a different cup as my mood changes.

At work I use my Split Fire Pottery cup (10 oz. - I know - still big for some!).

Hu Hong Black at home this morning, then some Nilgiri Blue to start off work, then on to some iced Ginger Peach to finish off the day.

I currently only have two teacups (actually a four set of one cup and a six set of another) so I usually stick with one cup as one set is for gongfu and can only hold about 1.5 ounces and the other is rather large and is mostly used for having chai with friends or herbals before bed. I want some cool cups that I could switch between, but for now I'm stuck with those two cups.

Just finished a gongfu session with some Feng Huang Dan Cong from Teaspring. Very delicious, sweet aroma. I might be drinking a new Mao Feng after work today. I love new tea shipments!

+1, don't we all!!!

Moved on to a tasting of ChineseTeaCulture's TGY from OTTI 6 with the Mrs. The #1 offering which is stellar!!!

A complete change in cups, Chinese celadon and white porcelain fishy cups. I cannot imagine drinking sencha out of these, but this TGY is perfectly at home in them!

....or if I change from larger volume infusions (sencha, black tea, herbal tea) to smaller volume infusions (almost everything else).

So far today, Huang Jin Gui from Norbu, in my sea-foam green yunomi from Ginkgo.

I usually use the same cup for sencha, a very thin yunomi from hasami that makes the tea taste better. but if i want to drink more, i would use a bizen one that makes the whole experience a more earthen one.

I change teacups usually three times during the day. I have a really huge mug that I use for black tea that I drink in the afternoon (because caffeine is a necessity at that point in the day), a different mug that I use for iced tea, and a Japanese-style ukiyo-e-print cup that I use for my before-bed tea.

Rose congou this afternoon; currently drinking a rooibos-lavender tisane.

Almost always at least once.
Chawan to yunomi.
Then most often the same yunomi for the rest of the day.

Finishing the final infusion of j g.
