For sencha usually 4. using 3g of tea for 80-100ml of water
1. 45-60sec, 75°C
2. 10-15sec, 75°C
3. 30sec. 80-85°C
4. 1-1:30 85-90°C
the fourth steep is more astringent and the sweet and grassy character is only in the background. I use it to flush my mouth so it is like to wash your teeth (useful if you drink the tea after meal 8) )
