			It's out of my curiosity

Recently I am reading some books and articles about history of puerh, and feel it's an interesting question what age of puerh people drank 200 years ago. We can gu-estimate on that question. But I think it's also an interesting question what age of puerh people are drinking nowadays. I set up the question for sheng puerh only because shu may make it complicated

Also the ranges in the question are rather arbitrary. I like even numbers

I personally prefer puerh of 5-8 years but it's partially out of financial necessity too

Besides, from time to time I do enjoy some newer sheng puerh. So it's just my current choice and every change is possible in the future

I think you said it best -- as old as you can afford.

I've noted from others comments that some like it when there is a balance between the stronger taste of the young and the mellowing of the older. I assume that varies by cake and manufacturer and storage conditions.

I have two groups of sheng puerh...some of the 90´s over 12 years old and some less than 5 years old.
Not very much of either, I actually don´t buy or drink much puerh.

I love variety. There's not really a certain age that I do not like, either. They all have their strong points and it really depends on my mood.

I drink 12+ for pleasure, and 90% of young stuff for research purposes. Trying to get a handle on which young sheng will age well.
