Wow, congrats. Beautiful! I have yet to purchase a Hokujo ... or even a mogake for that matter. Must fix this.

It looks really nice, I suppose it features a sasame filter, so you will enjoy a flawless pouring experience. Have you ordered it yet? How much till it gets in your hands?
(Later edit) : Forgot to ask, what´s the capacity?

I bought my first real kyusu from there. Very pleased with the way everything went out. I´m sure you won´t regret it. Now you only have to arm yourself with a few days of patience. (That´s the only hard part)
Congrats!

First, I think the Hokujo mogake's are great kyusu and a very good choice for Japanese sencha. I own several of them.Fireflower wrote:ORDERED!!!![]()

Second, Japanese Hand Crafts is a very good and honest vendor, so you should be fine here as well. I have made quite a few purchases from them and everything was always perfect.
Re: green tea teapot, suggestion needed
Tokoname or Banko unglazed kyusu are very good for Japanese green tea but I wouldn't use an Yixing for Chinese green tea. Some people on this forum say that Tokoname kyusu also work well with Chinese tea.Fireflower wrote:so i would like to have a suggestion to which kind of teapot is the best to use it with chinese and japanese green teas (i love very much kyusu, it can be ok?)
thx very much
I prefer procelain gaiwans for Chinese green tea and unglazed Tokoname kyusu for Japanese sencha.
