It's no better than a tea ball. It doesn't leave the leaves enough room to expand.

They do look like fun, but Snapshot is right, these infusers appear way to small to allow tea leaves their proper room for expansion.
If you really want to use an infuser, the best kind are the ones that are cup-like (stainless steel or glass) that rest in another cup.

There are also cup like nylon or similar material ones that are fine mesh that are virtually indestructable. I have a few from RoT that I have been using for 8 years. I would never give them up because they now redesigned theirs.

I haven't tried the nylon baskets. I poked one in a store once and it felt like I would rip it. I am, however, a stainless steel basket addict for my every day teas. TROT has a nice, regular one that comes with its own cup so that you have a nice-looking place to hold the basket in between infusions. It's currently on sale for $4. ($8 regular)
