Re: Direct buy from Chinese Green Tea Farms
Quite hard to buy farm direct from China. You are better off getting it from a seller who buys direct. There are a lot of them, some in China, ebay, and a bunch in the West as well.
A lot depends on what you are looking for, I like TeaSpring's greens.

Re: Direct buy from Chinese Green Tea Farms
Im thinking most large tea producers don't want to deal with small orders. Unless your odering a few thousand pounds then its very unlikely.
Like Chip said teaspring is very good. They sell fresh greens if you wait till the spring 2011 harvest comes in you wont be disappointed.
On teasprings website it says, they ship tea from Asia directly to you. That doesn't really answer your question but thats all I can find.

There's a lot of paperwork involved in China when it comes to being allowed to export tea.

I'd imagine that many small farmers don't have the resources to set up that kind of thing.
