Just out of curiosity, were you playing music in that show ?
Me,
The only music out of me during that show was my wonderment at how much tea he was selling. The show was in the massive lobby of the library. I had my ceramics and he had his tea. I think you might be referring to a picture on his site of him at a local fair playing music, ??
I haven't looked around his site lately but it looks like he is expanding it.
If I understand correctly regarding the organic-ness of the tea, the land being pesticide free is one of the requirements. Living out here in the country I have seen that it isn't unusual for fields to sit idle, i.e., planted but not cut, for many more than 3 years before someone is "contracted" to produce the tea. The quotations are because it is usually done with one's word and the payment seems to be a years supply of tea. There are 2 fields I can almost see from my house that are untended. One has been that way for about 12 years, the other for about 5 or so.
My guess is the foam coming out of that tank would make great green tea waffle batter if mixed with the proper ingredients.

Re: Best organic Japanese green?
I just called him, Ikawa is his name, and he will send orders overseas. His usual payment method is by bank transfer. Transfers would make it a little expensive so if anyone is interested in ordering I am willing to work in the middle without cost.
I will need what kind of tea you want, a link to the order page would be best.
The amount in grams.
Your address.
You will need to send yen to me at my Paypal account. I don't think there are any fees associated with that. If there is I will know after the first transfer and will ask you for it but I am pretty sure it is free.
I will tell you how much to send after receiving the above information since it will depend on where you live and the weight of the tea.
I will let Ikawa know and he will send it to you.

There is no paypal fee for a personal payment from an account linked to ones paypal. There is a fee if you make the personal payment with a credit card.

What stops tea vendor to make a JAS red sticker on any tea bag and say "organic". Many times I see a 100g bag of tea with a red JAS sticker placed on tea so I never know. When JAS is printed into the bag with tea name etc. it looks more authentic JAS. What do you think?

Only one company has a registration number but the number is the same for all the organic teas. The other teas do not have this number only stickers. I think it is pretty good business to put JAS stickers on tea and to sell it as organic. Maybe some people have a picture of what the JAS number should be like and the nomenclature for correct registration in english or japanese. Can different tea from the same company have one registration number.?

The farmers can use the same certificate for multiple teas. Multiple farmers can use the same certificate as well, it's especially common if they are in a co-op of organic farmers. Of course, everything must be organically grown. Some of our organics come from different farmers who are in the same co-op and use the same certificate.
Selling tea as "organic" when it's not would be totally against the law - I seriously doubt that is being done in Japan. If it is, it would be rare and the person doing it would face stiff penalties. They don't jack around when it comes to food safety in Japan.
I'm not sure whether the registration number "has" to be on the package or not, but it usually is. I guarantee there is a record of it somewhere if it's being labeled as organic.

Organic tea from Ippodo tasted better than any conventional tea I have had to taste. Except Teki Teki tasted better but Ippodo organic has good sweet fresh taste and no bitter flavour. Organic at it best. Maybe I have tried to drink thousands of Sencha in my life so I can say with sure sense of knowledge about the Ippodo.
