Some how I didn't quite realize that this was favorite green out of all green teas.

So I have to admit that one of my favorites, although I didn't get a chance to completely test it as all I got was 1 3 gram packet as a sample.

But it was the Korean Ujeon offered at Tea Trekker this year.

Light roast Tie Guan Yin and Tai Ping Hou Kui from JKTeaShop were my favorites of the year.

I'll have to say Uji Sencha Miyabi from O-Cha.
It is not like no other tea came close, but overall this was the most memorable one and I am certain I will buy it again.
Apparently 2010 was a very good year for it so I guess I got lucky trying it for the first time this year.
Looking forward to much more tea next year. Bring it on, 2011!

From Korea to India, growers, vendors, and, tea people all said that the weather had an adverse effect on the tea harvest this year both in quality and quantity. My personal experience was on the disappointing side and I had few greens that would make my hit list.

My favorites from this year's harvest was:

Shi Feng long Jing from Tea Zen in Hong Kong
Master Luo's long Jing Supreme from East Teas in London.

I would have to say that my favourite is a Yame Gyokuro Kurogi. It smelt of sea breeze and water lilies, and the flavour was distinctly asparagus and puffed rice, with some fine herbal notes. Really one of the most remarkable teas I tried in 2010, but Wu Yuan Ming Mei was also a winner for me in 2010. So it's a split.
