Kick started the New Year with a top range of tea.... Getting drunk is a very good event

Re: Thursday TeaDay 2/3/11 Chinese New Year!
This day has been for me an all Japanese teaday so far, with some Ippoen gyokuro a few minutes ago.

Celebrated with a sample of the 1998 #8582 Menghai sheng from Hou De. Marvelous way to begin another lunar year!

Finally broke out a Chinese tea tonight ... Jade Tip with the Mrs. from Imen via a TCer! Really quite nice and reminded me of Zhu Ye Qing.
A cold and icy day outside, a beautiful and warm day inside a conservatory at Longwood Gardens ...
Camellia japonica, our tea's cousin's species which was nowhere to be found ...

Already started with some Dragon Well, then had Hankook Hwang Cha. And just found out the name & address of another Korean tea shop in Koreatown!

Absolutely! I've already had several cups of rose congou today. Probably going to have a Chinese green later, definitely a green of some sort.

Two Chinese teas for Chinese New Year, first a Fujian Hong Cha, and now a High Fire TGY, who needs sleep?

Currently brewing the last half of Hatsumi from O-cha via the OTTI. Earlier had a 2005 sheng that was quite nice.
The Puerh was indeed Chinese. Happy New Year!
