Bonsai!

Here is a photo I took in 2008 of a bonzai at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. If you are wondering why the colors seem a bit odd, it is because I took the photo using my infrared converted camera.

My gf raises bonsai...none of them are really old yet but they´re coming along nicely

unfortunately I´ve never managed to get a decent picture of them....she has hummingbird feeders right in front of the bonsais...which the africanized honey bees seem to think belong to them....anyway....they make me too nervous to back up enough to get a good shot...

I do have some macros of the teeeeeeeny flowers and needles on a couple of them though

I have a couple of tea trees growing around my house too. I didn't think about them. They aren't really bonsai though. I do have an osmanthus tree which I keep trimmed short, but I had a problem in the beginning keeping it watered properly, so the leaves are few and too large. I either watered it too much, or too little. The funny thing is, it's blooming again and normally it only blooms once a year, in the fall.

yeah..i dont think its a classic bonsai..and the leaves have gotten a bit big..its kept in my office under flourescent lights during the day..but DARNIT its still ALIVE!
