Puer with Chrysanthemum
It is very common for us Chinese people to brew puer with chrysanthemum and add a little rock sugar. Does anyone suggests puer to blend with other flower petals? Curious.

The next time I will have dim sum in Chinatown, I am going to tell the waiter, "Chrysanthemum/puer with no rock sugar (gaut po)."

I'm american and horribly under tea educated (which I'm working on),I just didn't know any better as I'd seen it in the loose-leaf jars with the chryanthemums.
I've brewed Pu'er sheng with;
laurel blossoms, this accentuated the "honey" qualities
honysuckle blossoms, this just reduced the bitterness of first few brewings
damascus rosebuds, covered many of the subtle flavors until 2-3 brewings then was just a sweet undertone
lavender blossoms, in really small amounts was nice, but took a few tries to get the bud count to a level that I could taste anything other then lavender.

No worries as long as you're interested in tea. Like anything, learning about somehting takes time. Being a tai chi practitioner, my tai chi instructor told me, "Practicing 15 years is only the tip of the iceberg."

Thank you for the offer of the chtysanthemums. I have tried these too. 
I just figured so had you, and there for only needed info on the other flowers I have tried with pu'er.
TCM (so I'm told) says flowers are good for me, but I find plain flower teas, well lacking in dimensions.
