Sunday/Saturday/Friday TeaDay 6th, 7th, 8th day of Spring

Although I haven't been able to choose 6 favorites, I did have a spectacular tea day today. I visited a nearby tea plantation and spent the day picking tea with friends. I produced a small batch of my own tea compltetely by myself. The tea isn't spectacular by any stretch, but I made it myself, so it's kind of fun.

I got the first Sae Midori infusion right this morning. Ahhhh.

I see your kyusu by Kenji sitting in the front of that pic, Chip. I bought the same one a year or two back, again, because I'd seen you rave about how much you loved yours. It exceeded expectations.

Began the TD with Organic Sencha from Rishi with the Mrs. brewed in the same Kenji and served up in an SO 10 Ice Split.

Had to move a lot of things around to make room for a new arrival Hagi ... sorry for the photo, all artificial light with an old camera.

There are certainly a lot of faves here ...

Sounds just fabulous. I imagine the tea is wonderfully seasoned by the joy of producing it yourself, the memories of the day, and the feeling of it in your hands.

It was, but I did burn my hands in the wok. It is 200 degrees. The hands of the people who do it for a living are really hard.
