Eggshell gaiwan

by bagua7 » Apr 28th, '11, 16:32

Hey guys,

I am looking for one of these, since I broke the one I normally use, and the search is proving fruitless:

Why do these vendors seem to run out of this particular item all the time? It's frustrating. :x

Any vendors based in China who stock this product?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I found this one on eBay but not 100% sure if it is thin enough.

What do you reckon?

Chinese tea culture has several teasets which I believe belongs to the eggshell porcelain category and Scott ships directly from China.

I haven't acquired anything from him, but I did asked him once about antique teawares. My impression is that he is a straightforward guy and I appreciate it.

I've been trying to contact Michaeal over at TG about any new stock of the small gaiwan.

Yes, they run out of these lovely gaiwans pretty quickly.

I'm looking for eggshell white, small, undecorated, as seen here:

There are so many out there that are thicker and off-white. These thin, undecorated eggshell white ones appear to be a rare breed.
