Chinese tea has been harboring in Malaysian Chinese community for umpteen years. As a drink it acts as a catalyst in inspiring cultural exchange. In our modern society relationships has been indifferent and through the process of drinking and appreciation of tea, the interaction between people are enhanced. With it we are able to bring back the feelings (comfort and harmony) of yesteryears which have eluded us.

On the 28/4-02/05 -- Tea Cultural Expo wish once again through our festival theme “Chinese tea and painting” will let more people understand the Malaysian tea art and the goodness of “Malaysian Warehouse” tea. In collaboration with Guo Jia An, a young and skilful Malaysian Chinese brush painting artist. He will be narrating the history, root and development of Malaysian tea art culture through his Chinese brush painting illustrations with Liu Bao tea acting as the backdrop.

During this tea festival, all the participating tea vendors will be sharing their wealth of knowledge and expertise in tea brewing, drinking and appreciation. The objectives of amalgamating tea culture into our daily life, with the aim of helping ordinary people to master the skill of brewing great cups of tea and also the art of tea appreciation. Great pictures, and nice haul! Thanks for sharing!

Any more pictures of the booths and such? Anything "crazy" being offered? (whether ungodly expensive, or just... different)

Yes. Not too expensive kind of 'branded/mass production' tea.

This is how the small packs looks like. Each pack 10g.

Some booths are having offers, but some booths are selling 'cut throat' price / taking advantage. I didn't hand around long enough to notice anything else interesting...

I didn't take extra photos of the booths, etc. But here are some photos of previous expo (from the organizer)

I will respond to your PM questions here because I think other teachatters may chip in on the DHP.

I had the sea dyke DHP once, I think it was the subject of a thread on here a while back, a few chatters have come acrosss it, it seems to be generally a reasonable commercial version, nothing to shout about but a decent evryday DHP.

The TLH I bought at Jing Dian 2 years ago and liked it so much that I bought another tin this January. I find the leaf to be broken too finely for some of my tinier Yixings, as it clogs the outlet. I was using a larger Yixing with a ball filter last year and it performed well. The trouble being that I like to pack densely and one package was not quite enough for my preferences. I definitely prefer long twisty unbroken leaf.
