OK, since you *freak*' guys are the biggest offenders of this *freak*' rule, could you please refrain from saying *freak* on the IM board. I am not a *freak*' prude and say *freak* as much as the next *freak*' guy, but be considerate of the *freak*' old ladies and kids who might happen to be checking out our forum.
This is why we have invented the word fuka, code word for *freak*. So say fuka instead of *freak*, ok???
I *freak*' appreciate it.

Sorry chip, I'll try to pay more attention to what I'm saying-- you have a good point.

Thanx to those of you who have towed the line on usage of profanity, in particular, *freak*, on IM. Yet still, some regulars choose to lower themselves in our TEAcommunity.
You know, every time you drop the bomb on the IM, personally, I could not care less. But when I am in da haus, and you drop it, you place me in an uncomfortable position since I am a moderator. Same goes for Mary and Xine and any listening administrator. Offensive language is against forum rules, period. Use of *freak* on the IM is a slap in the face of our fine host, Adagio, and any reader who may find offence at this word.
We are the foundation of TeaChat, show some responsibility please...and don't make me be your daddy.
In the future, I will reprimand you immediately on the IM board, and if needed, take further action.
Thanx for your cooperation.

I do not like playing daddy and having to remind offenders. I am not mod to reprimand regulars who choose to curtail their extensive vocabulary and utilize *freak* instead. I know you guys are much more intelligent than this, you can find a much better word to express yourself and show your intelligence.3. Posts that contain offensive language and inappropriate, sexual, political, religious opinions are not permitted and will be removed. This also applies to the chatroom. AKA- don't be an jerk.

Thanx for your respect, but I prefer your respect and compliance to the rules first and foremost. Interestingly, it was you, Space, who last used this expletive on the IM yesterday. I let it go at the time. This is after you said in this thread...
Truly, I personally do not care, but since I am moderator, it is my responsibility as your duly elected mod...one of two...to enforce the rules for the good of all members and our sponsor, not the freedom and convenience of a few violators.
If you do not respect the rules...or me, that is your freedom. But continued use of *freak* on the IM will not be tolerated by this moderator. Or perhaps forum anarchy such as on RFDT forum is your preference.
I hope you can respect where I am coming from...and not take this personally.
..so, perhaps it is you who is taking my persistance on this subject personally.but...but...okay, sorry. I wont do it again.
Okay, now I wont do it again.

Yeah...I'm pretty lax on the cursing. I do it so much in my daily speech that I feel hypocritical calling others out.
The thing is that the fuka word is a pretty sensitive topic for a lot of people, and many of them don't hesitate to PM or e-mail Chip, Xine, and I. And when I say "don't hesitate" I mean "tattle like an uncensored 5 year old." Repeatedly. Chip actually gets more of these than I do, and I get a fair share.
I don't have a problem with the cursing, but I do have a problem playing 'mother' to the immature chatters who come crying to me, and an even bigger problem with censoring my friends.
If we could try to minimize the f-bomb, it would keep me from developing a nervous complex. It's a selfish reason...but it's my major one.

Ironically, if you would have simply abstained from using *freak* like you previously said you would, I would not have had the need to post again. And sound like a "hall monitor." Rules are for the good of all, not to be applied only when convenient.
Name calling and insulting me is really beneath your dignity, dude...I refuse to be drawn into a verbal argument with you. As for me, I am done discussing this with you. Just follow the rules and you will not need to be talked to by your hall monitor.
Thanx and have a nice day....

(oops, I meant to post this before chip,)
Wow, I'm embarrassed by how snarky that was. And kind of passive-aggressive. (me, not chip)
Chip, I think you can be a mook sometimes. But I also recognize that has everything to do with my personality not really getting along with yours, and not because you're really a mook. So I'm trying to simultaneously express my discontent by calling you a mook, and apologize. Its kind of awkward.

lol...I have never been called a mook, and I must confess, I had to look it up.
You have at least twice today made negative references to me on the IM in my absence.
I honestly do not know what you expect me to say. I am certain we have both known about our personality differences. I can generally say I enjoy and embrace these differences. Although, I often disagree with you, I find that to be refreshing on some level.
Well, I digress.
Since you are not likely calling me a thin Japanese anime book, you have hurled quite an insult along with you apology. I am sorry you feel the way you do.a contemptible, incompetent person.
a thin book with the look, design, and layout of a magazine, usually having a Japanese anime theme.
An insignificant or contemptible person.

I didn't know they exact definition of mook either; I wasn't calling you contemptible or incompetent. This is clearly a lesson in being more careful when I use arcane insults.
I'm sorry. I don't agree with how you come across, but it doesn't change that I am wrong in this case. Under the best of circumstances, I don't like being told what to do. This is something I keep under control most of the time, but with the increased stress of working retail during the holidays, my tolerance is a bit thin. No excuse, just an explanation. You saw me do this before once with kevin. I like to think that mostly I am a peach with everyone, but sometimes the ass hole comes out.
I'm sorry Chip.
I'm sorry Xine, and Mary.
I'm sorry to everyone else for bringing unecessary drama to the forum.

...ahhh, a little drama...without drama, the library would be void of books and there would be no TV. Life would also be pretty boring.
Well, to say that you raised my blood pressure today would be an understatement.
Your apology is accepted.

You know, the funny thing is, I do not like telling people what to do...or not to do. So, when I do, keep in mind that I do not enjoy it, but I do it out of what I sincerely believe is absolute necessity.Under the best of circumstances, I don't like being told what to do.
