I think this is the kind of thing that I am much safer enjoying from a distance. If I were there I might be so overwhelmed by the abundance and amazing experience that I'd just spontaneously combust. Certainly my wallet would.

I see you took a picture of the tea pot that's on the banners... that one must be pretty special, then... what is it?

They say it is antique. I didn't bother to ask about the age. The uniqueness is that it is zisha inside, but outside is painted... something like that.
I will be going again maybe on the next weekend. Will ask.

From the banner it said 18 century (mid Qing Dynasty). For the name of the pot, I'm afraid I have to leave this to someone more competent in Chinese than me.

Photos are up in the organizer's web site
http://www.teaworld2u.com/index.php?opt ... 4&Itemid=8
Before the event, the tea shops participating in the expo will submit a tea from their shop, then the organizer will package it into small samples without label. In total, 40 diff type of teas were collected and compiled into a box set.
From the info I heard, there are 600 box sets distributed. It is a blind tasting competition as there are no info on the samples just a label. Participants will then have to rate the tea in return for a lucky draw.
Results are out and the are 5 gold and 5 silver award being selected.
