Wedgewood Pots?

by Proinsias » Jul 15th, '11, 16:50

Dropped by the Wedgewood factory today. Happy to see my recent cup acquisition was more expensive than I paid for it a few weeks ago in a department store.

The factory outlet had lots of 2nd grade wares and 'last season' stock. One thing that caught my eye were the little teapots, they had them in a few colours. They were around 200ml and from a distance could have passed for yixing. I couldn't get much info, the woman thought they were kids pieces but wasn't sure. Just curious if anyone has come across these. They had hundreds, from around £25-£50. Lid fit was really pretty poor by yixing standards, but serviceable.

Decided not to buy one and now I kinda wish I'd taken the gamble.

Any info/thoughts?

Those look beautiful and very functional. Was there a strainer/screen on the inside of the spout?

No strainer, but the spout hole was quite small.
