Supply and demand of Pu. Is it enough?

One of the intentionally aged teas, Pu-Erh has a loyal following.

This owner is probably the one that has the most Old tea around on display. You name it, he has it (or at least he knows where to get it). He has traded plenty of such Old tea (red, blue, yellow, etc etc) to China and Taiwan. He has traded those high end in toongs, that he has to be a delivery boy, flying there to deliver himself. Probably he really knows what it is with his years of experience and tasting capability. He often has guest from China and Taiwan coming to buy his Old tea.

That said, there are many possibilities to the scenario... but I doubt he is putting up a show just to scam me... I am too small and I was not there by appointment.

On a diff topic, I have seen some people who goes to other tea shop and put their Old tea on the shop. They will request the owner to sell and give them commission... but the owner above who pays cash upfront is an eye opener.

I may visit GuangZhou one day to see how 2000+ teashops (so I heard) in one area looks like. There are also teashops here organizing tea visits to plantations too, which I am interested to go too... Looking fwd till the day :D

Is it just me or does that tea still look very young for a thousand dollars a cake? How old did the seller claim it to be?
