I found a Kamjove electric kettle that i like on DTH (link attached), but it says that the plug isn't suitable for the U.S. Does anyone know about one that is?

Re: Kamjove electric kettle
Not only will the plug not work in American outlets, but it runs on 220v, and the US uses 110v, so even if you had an adapter, it would not work in America.

Re: Kamjove electric kettle
I use the one linked below. Works great ! Ships out of San Francisco area. Does not have digital display of temperature. It does have a auto switch so it reheats water on it's own. If you want something that actually displays the water temp then look elsewhere.

Some of the kettles on DTH are 110V for American outlets. The selection is smaller than for 220V kettles though.

You can get it to work in the US, you just need a transformer. Make sure to check to check how much power the kettle uses to get a suitable transformer.

something like this?

Is that all I need to use a 220v kettle in the US? (kettle is 600w)?
I've been meaning to finally figure this out, just been kinda in the back of my mind till this post.

Re: Kamjove electric kettle
The ITC one is a different manufacturer (Tianyi), and is made (in Mainland China, I believe) for the Taiwan market. You can get them at some Ten Ren branches too. It's pretty good - I've gotten to appreciate the army surplus look, the base is Bakelite (vs. plastic on the modern Kamjove kettles), but it's also 2-3x the price of a TP-680 or similar Kamjove models.
