Re: tea day or bust!?!?!
Today I had a very green day, including green tea, green oolong tea, and a general greeness of hair, face, and clothing,, including my shell. I made a pretty fair turtle for Halloween.
But now, having gone home to shower off the itchier bits of the getup, and returned to do paperwork, I'm thinking something darker for the rest of the evening. Hmmmm....

Re: tea day or bust!?!?!
14" of cement-like snow here the night of the 29th. By 9 PM.... no electricity, no land-line phones, no DSL line, no cell phones. Woke up to find my road blocked by downed trees and a cold house. Lots of trees and branches down ....... most still had leaves on them so the weight added up fast. Damage to a few plants in my Japanese garden. The bamboo did not fare well at ALL. One 33 year old trained Japaneser red maple had a main branch broken.... it might take a repair.... we'll see. BIg branch from a HIGH tree JUST missed my gas bisque kilkn roof, but hit the ground tright next to it. But part of it is sitting on the roof directly over the chimney. Another big branch took out the overhead wires that supply electrical to the outside kiln yard...... so that had to be repaired. for sure.
Thank goodness for wood stoves!
Got power back yesterday evening. DSL line came back a few minutes ago.
Fun fun fun.
best,
...................john

You have not been alone, John!
Just powered back up here. Soooo, I am back ... hopefully for good. This area looks a bit like a war zone, especially since it was 56* today and virtually no remaining snow. All that was left was debris everywhere ... including our closed road. It looks surreal.
Pretty brutal storm for October.
2 walnut trees sheared off and fell on our Japanese Maples after pruning (which I love to do anyway). They will heal and will maybe show "character" which will foster memories of the great October snow storm of 2011.

Mrs. woozl has a week of snow days at school, or more.
Hot showers and tea for the neighbors.
Trying to buy fuel is a half day project, but getting better.
Brings out the worst in some folks, and the best in others.
A non funtioning traffic light IS a four way STOP.
Where did these people go for drivers ed?
It is like mad max.
Pizza on the gas grill tonight (no cooking inside)
people trying to heat with grills etc, are getting sick or dying
fun fun fun
Cheers, woozl

My wife and I were in Manhattan all weekend so we had slush and lightning instead of snow, and back home late Sunday night the snow had melted before we returned. I am glad that most of you are back online.
BTW, where are the new WuYi teas? Jing and Seven Cups have a few, but Tea Gallery is still offline and Tim is away. I still need to order better quality daily teas but Jing's are the only ones I have found so far.
Hou de's shui xian was breafast tea today. 2010 Yutaka Midori is on the menu at lunch.

On a Green Tea Kick to try and help me feel better. If tomorrow is a no go, then I will do the knock out puerh remedy, which makes me shudder to this day, but it helps people feel better quickly.
Started with some korean Daejak, now I am about to have some Asamushi Sencha (ippodo Kabuko).
