I have a book on tea I'm currently reading, and so far it has been excellent in delivering to me brevities of tea history, culture, and botany, as well as some beautiful pictures.
Although I'm an awfully slow reader, and this book wouldn't get around for a while, I would like to eventually share this book with all of you. Perhaps it could actually be shared with everyone, through a sort of book exchange. I could pass the book to someone, who passes it to someone...etc. until it comes back to me in pieces.
What are your thoughts on this?

Good God...from the brain that spawned such TeaChat classics as the Fukamushi Gang Sign leaps a new creature altogether...a genuinely useful idea!
Sorry, had to josh you a bit. I think the book exchange is an excellent idea, and I'll be one of the first to sign up.

I'm certainly not against others participating, but count me out. I don't read much as it is– I don't need someone else's books sitting around idly in addition to mine. :/
Good idea, though!

My warped mind spawned the Fukamushi Gang Sign, actually. But I'm so sick of it now that I am more than happy to let Wes take full credit for it.

Though the book exchange does sound like a good idea, there is one warning:
Some people on another forum decided to undertake something just like this (except not with a book), and somewhere along the line the people just stopped forwarding it. The person who started it all just lost what he had sent out.

That is, unfortunately, one of the risks of lending out books.
I still curse myself for loaning a friend's boyfriend my Hemingway collection. They broke up...and I lost my Papa. Even worse since they were technically my own Papa's books...

Thats right tree, and thus the phrase:
"Never lend a book."
I think most of us serious tea-peeps have it together enough to keep going. Although I don't care too much about getting it back, I just want to spread the love.
