Both my aged sheng pots are fairly high fired zini, but that doesn't mean other clays can't work just as well. Not all clays and pots are created equal (even when comparing pots with the same clay type), so unfortunately you probably aren't going to find a consensus on the best type of clay for any tea. Finding something high fired that won't mute the higher flavor and aroma profiles is probably a good idea though. That, and thicker walls to hold more heat.
