Welcome to the NEW TeaDay.
I have great news, but need your advice too! Can you please help? I won $200 million in Mega Millions and will enter the tea business in a big way. But should I buy out Adagio, Teavana, Tazo (Starbucks), do my own thing, or other? Your opinions count!
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone! See you around the forum.

Re: New TeaDay 4/1/12 GREAT news!
I voted fix up the tea cave, including relocating with a better view of Mt Fuji, and enlarge the tea fridge a bit. Also, improved funding for super-premium gyokuro tasting?
Today, enjoying my first session with a lovely little teacup from Shawn McGuire of Greenwood Studios

it's just perfectly sized to match my smallest gaiwan, and showcasing some nice TeaHabitat Song Zhong #5 this morning.

Perhaps he'll just buy the whole town; build a large teahouse to display and use his Hagi; become a formal patron of all of the potters and giving them full creative freedom to make even more fantastic wares that he'll make available to all--for free, via a special lottery system, after he picks the ones he wants for himself.
Re: New TeaDay 4/1/12 GREAT news!
why would anyone want to buy starbucks or teavana?
Its sorta like some offering to sell you their crimes against liquid and decency.
I suppose you could turn it around but, the damage has already been done.

well, you could always buy the company, liquidate all their assets, and then dissolve the company.
I don't think $200m will buy Starbucks, though

I was already aware of that and I just wanted to humor him but, my humor turned to srs when I had to type that pseudo word (teavana)AdamMY wrote:SlientSipper wrote:why would anyone want to buy starbucks or teavana?

and I got warped into being serious.
but, still sorta joking. I doubt 200 mill would be enough to buy any of those companies anyway.

Had a fun tea party at my house on Saturday. I'm enjoying the leavings from that extravaganza still.... Here I'm drinking a ?99? dayi old tree green puer from the 7 or so teas we went through. Theres a 70s and 90s baozhong in there, a 80s and 90s green puer, a 90s and 2006 shu, a 90s roasted tky IIR. Yay tea friends!

or rather perhaps a new house/museum to store his Hagi in...Bob_McBob wrote:We all know you're just going to blow $200m on Hagi.
