Hibiki-An Kyusu
Hello...I've recently been shopping around online to purchase my first kyusu, and one that caught my eye was this one from Hibiki-An: http://www.hibiki-an.com/product_info.p ... cts_id/440. I love the look and color, but I'm a little unsure about the interior. It certainly isn't the dark interior I've seen in most of the other kyusus I've looked at. Can anyone tell me if this is a quality material, or would it be a poor investment? Admittedly, I know basically nothing about the clay selection and firing process that goes into making a kyusu, despite trying to do some research. Thanks for your help!

Re: Hibiki-An Kyusu
Wellllll, this will depend a lot of what you are looking for in a kyusu.
There is nothing wrong with it, but there are a zillion kyusu available at this price or lower for this quality level. The price is a bit higher than most in this category, but that is likely because shipping is already figured into the price.
There is another topic on buying a kyusu that was just started and the Ode to the Kyusu topic that you might find of interest.

Re: Hibiki-An Kyusu
Thanks for the input and welcome, Chip! I looked at the topics you posted, but I'm having trouble finding kyusu that are significantly cheaper than that one, with the exception of those that are purely functional with little other aesthetic appeal. Are there any merchants you would recommend aside from the Tokonome and Yuuki-Cha sites (already checked those out, which led to my impression that the price on the linked one wasn't too shabby)? Thanks again!
