Newb's teapot

Hey guys i'm looking for a small teapot (1-2 cups) who can preferably brew most types of tea.

I was thinking about the ingenuitea from adagio but i'm not sure on the plastic. Is it close too glass?

I'm also wondering what type of infuser they classically use in most tea pots?
Say in porcelain ones?

I'd skip those ingenuitea style brewers, so impersonal, plus they don't hold up well (at least visually) in the long run

nicer one, US vendor, still cheaper then the ingenuitea, has a build in filter, seems a good bet quality wise

Both of these are 300-350 ml, a little smaller then the ingenuitea but your less likely to throw them away once/if you delve more into brewing in multiple infusions

I think 16 0z is too big.
like teaisme said, you'll throw them away in few weeks if you're really into loose leaf unless you drink herbal tea.
I think 150-200ml is way more than enough to get things started.

you've got plenty of options out there, the one I listed may be expensive though, you can try ebay for better prices, dragonteahouse store just to name one is known for good prices and services.

I have that pot from Rishi and can recommend it. It's a great all purpose pot and has a bit of style. The filter works great for any type of tea.

I started with the ingenuitea type, and I think they are actually a bit harder to clean than this one. I like not using plastic as well.

I'll second Achyle's sentiments. Get a small pot. If you're drinking for one decide on a cup size thats good for you and get a pot that can fill that. For me 100ml is awesome. I'll frequently drink two cups back to back, but the size of the pot lets me use my tea well and each pot is fresh, hot and tasty!
