Really? My initial thought is that a section like that would create redundancy in the forums. And there's already enough of that...I delete a lot of multiple postings every week to avoid any future "Mocha" issues. And ego would probably prevent most people from realizing their questions are dumb. :)

I agree with Mary. And I don't think the questions are dumb, per se; they just don't know. I didn't know shit when I started out, and compared to some, I still don't know shit.

The fact is, they think their questions are dumb. The word dumb could be left out. But I think TeaChat needs a few sticky posts that outline such things like brewing times, temperature, teapots, yixing seasoning.

I see your point, but I'm not sure if I agree. I guess perhaps the Mod Squad will put our heads together on this one.

I also feel like it would be a bit redundant. Perhaps a sticky in each particular tea forum with those sorts of tips would be helpful, though.

Yeah, I am in agreement with Space, there are no such thing as dumb questions. But perhaps some organziation might help.. Unfortuantley, I have no ideas ! :P

noobs are what keep the forum going. If they weren't here to aske questions, dumb, repetitive or otherwise, things would get a little dead 'round here.

Ummm...let's come back to this after the holidays. At this point, I am in favor of doin nothing, but I might be more open after the holidays.

Also, since this is Adagio's forum, I would never want to open this can of worms without a full dialogue with the corporate big wigs. This could get very complicated when you consider all the different variables involved. Then do you post Adagio's recommendations, go contrary to them because maybe we disagree...

Plus, the way it is encourages newbies to get involved and post.

I like Chip's and Mary's ideas. A FAQ sounds like a good idea, reasonable, but something better looked at after the Holiday rush, which I can currently feel like a rabid, undead elf eating my face.
