Dear All,
I am looking to buy a tetsubin from Hojatea...There are so many different varieties. I mainly drink Sencha and Gyokuro...
Any recommendations please?
I am also interested in buying a Japanese teapot and some cups. I would like to buy something that is high quality.
If someone can point me in the right direction i'd really appreciate it
Thank you
Vertigo

If you are already decided to go with Hojo, you can send him a mail. He will advise you not only a good tetsubin and a good teapot, but a couple that will work well together. It is amazing how some pairs work well and some just don't.

Yeah if you're already going with Hojo then get your teapot from him. I can safely say that the recent reduction clay pot I got from him is by far my favourite Kyusu

I have never purchased anything from hojo so I cannot say, but
http://www.artisticnippon.com/ has a great selection of both and will also work with you if you are looking for something he does not carry or have in stock.

A number of years ago I purchased a kunzan tetsubin through Hojo and am still very happy with this purchase. Akira of course made the process painless and was very helpful both before during and after my purchase, with all questions I had. Also a couple years later I bought a couple teapots from him and he was very careful to recommend those he believed to be the best match with my tetsubin. If I were going to get a new tetsubin I would almost certainly choose to do business with him again.
