is zishateapot.co.uk still active?

by TMike » Aug 16th, '12, 16:08

Hi everyone, I just recently opened my account in TeaChat, but before that I used to lurk a lot. Reading over the many threads on reputable yixing vendors, I saw that many recommended this particular website (www.zishateapot.co.uk).

I recently ordered this particular pot :

http://www.zishateapot.co.uk/chinese-yi ... p-142.html

Anyways, my problem is, payment was sent on the 13th(August) and so far no shipping info or anything has been sent to me. I've emailed their website about when should I expect the teapot to be shipped and still haven't heard from them. I've even joined their "Live Chat" asking for any info, or even, any acknowledgement that someone is there but nothing, not a single response.

I know that the website states that they will ship usually within 7 days (which have not yet passed) but still, the lack of communication with the vendor is worrying me. So does anyone know if the vendor is still active? anyone recently ordered from them?

The owners of that site spend a lot of time trolling the forum here, but sometimes less on filling orders. They were very close to being delisted from the "TeaVendor Guide" and moved to the problem vendor list. Sorry to hear they are up to no good.

Yes, if you have e-mailed Chen she takes some time to reply because she is busy with the local market. It happened to me in the last two orders, she will reply, just be patient. Sorry if I haven't been more helpful.

Note: If you don't have her personal e-mail addy, PM me and I will pass it on.

Thanks a lot guys for your responses. I'm just a little impatient and I wish I had the teapot already
I guess I'll wait a few more days to see what happens, if not I guess I'll PM you for her email address.

Having dealt with pretty many teaware artisans/craftsmen I can say they are often not so focused on the business and communication parts of running a business.

Perhaps it comes with using the creative side of the brain.

And another thing I can tell you, teaware consumers are realllly anxious to have their pieces shipped, and to receive them, etc.

Sometimes these differences seemingly appear to be at opposite ends of the universe which is not so far from the actuality.

I have been encouraging Chen to improve in certain areas of business ... not least of which is communication. :!:

I am a "lurker" as well and ordered from Chen Cheng around the beginning of August. I tried contacting them through the website as well and did not get a response. Then I started PMing her here on the forum. She has been very responsive and apologetic regarding the delay in my order. She recently gave me my tracking number. It takes her about 24hrs to respond to each PM and that is probably due to the time difference between here (USA) and China. I would suggest you PM her to ask about your order. Her user account is finddream2020.

I'm sorry it takes so long before I contacted you, it's all my fault. I'm also waiting for the tracking number, I will contact you as soon as I get it as I PMed you. I'm figuring to improve our service in shipping.

Also, I'm sorry there always some problems about our email on the website. I tried to fix that, I even asked someone who is professional, but we have no idea what's wrong. It works quite well when we tested, but it doesn't sometimes. So please contact me by PM me here on teachat, or you could contact me by my email. (I will PM if asked for my email)

Thank you very much for your kind understanding. :D

Thank you, Chip. I know I should improve our service in shipping. I will try to figure it out. The fact is, the shipping is more cheaper if we sent the package from GZ, sometimes Fu Jian.

I'm sorry for any problems of the shipping.

As I said before, I now decide to take the shipping myself to improve our service. It is more expensive if I ship the packages from Shang Hai, but it will be sooner. I think it worths.

My deep apology again for the problems of the shipping. :( I'm trying to fix.
