Coming off of a year stretch of not seriously drinking good sencha, I put in an order at o-cha for some Tsuen Sencha Otsuusan which I ended up not liking. After reading some topics around here I decided to try for something a little less expensive and work my way up from there. I ordered some sencha moe and I was impressed with the free and prompt shipping.
Now it could be that I haven't had a good sencha in quite some time and I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. This tea has something that I like, but I lack the means to describe it. For my next order I want to get a tea of a better quality that retains the basic qualities of this tea.

I almost recommended ShempCha!minor_glitch wrote:I recommend Sencha Curly and Sencha Larry.
You could post your experience with Moe in the Zencha TeaVendor topic! If you liked the Yame selection, perhaps going up a grade there would be logical.

Otsuusen is going to be quite different from a sencha. Partly due to the stems and partly due to the Gyokuro components. TBH, it is not my fave O-Cha selection either, but it is quite popular among some members and is a top seller at Tsuen Tea Shop. I can drink it, but I would much rather drink either a sencha or a good gyokuro.

Thanks, I think I just got a bad draw with the Otsuusen. The description intrigued me. I don't think Zencha was around the last time I was trying a lot of different Senchas. Since their budget tea is this good, and I would say it's better than o-cha's daily, I am intrigued.

Guess I'm the only one who associated 'moe' with "Hermes moe!"
I e the Densha Otoko story.
