Glad to know I wasn't too far off.
And BTW, very nice pots everyone! Maybe I'll take a couple photos in the daylight tomorrow, though after 3.5 years of use or less, none of my pots will be as dramatic as teaism's. One day maybe...
Re: Showoff your veteran yixing teapots
Here is my favorite pot out of all that I own. It also just happens to be the pot which shows patina the most dramatically too! Of course, each of these three shots were taken in different natural light conditions, but the exposures are all about the correct level, so I think it's a fairly accurate representation. This is my 40ml Muo Lu Ni pot which I use for full on Kung Fu preparation of high fire TGY. Thanks to TIM, I got another bag of "ink" to put on it today!

Re: Showoff your veteran yixing teapots
And here is a duan ni pot I've had for a little over a year. It's picked up color from aged cooked liu an pretty quickly. Of course, the piece of Yixing I own with the most patina is my little rattie friend. He gets to drink a little of all the tea I brew, and he doesn't get rubbed down too much.

After two years of regular use, high fired yancha has done nice things for this pot too...

...though I have to say I think the exposure is a bit darker in the after shot, and the color difference isn't quite as great as it looks.

Re: Showoff your veteran yixing teapots
Finally, one of the pots I've owned for the longest amount of time (almost four years). This was actually the third pot I ever bought. I call it my ShoU.F.O, since it looks like a flying saucer and I use it for cooked puerh. Two whole cakes of '07 Golden Needle White Lotus have passed through this guy, as well as some other stuff.
Before... [EDIT: Actually, from looking at the photo data, this first shot was already after 9 months use, so it had some good glow and color going on already.]

Re: Showoff your veteran yixing teapots
Well done ting junkie and thanks so much for sharing. The patina and glow in your pot are nice and consistent. The sheen are beautiful. Can see that they are all well taken care of.
Cheers!

That's awesome to be able to compare side by side B!
Thanks for the compliments folks. I can't wait to see what these pots look like a few more years down the road.
