So I've seen a lot of pots made from yixing factories. does anyone have any information on the history of there factories? like yixing factory 1, 5 etc.. sources I've found are pretty vague or have just one sliver of information.
Thanks

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yixing_Teapot_Factory_No.1
I've started this wikipedia article (I'm an avid editor) to pool whatever info I can find in one place. If there is no good resource let's make one!
I hope anyone here with knowledge on the subject will add what they know and fix any errors.
So, far I only have THREE sources.
(this reminds me I should to an article on tree-stump teapots...)

Could someone add a photo of one of the factory 1 shui ping pots? I know you have them!
Or anything factory related would help really. This articles needs pictures.

Here:
http://www.360doc.com/content/11/0818/1 ... 1722.shtml
http://itools.com/tool/google-translate ... translator
http://tinyurl.com/cprb3yw (go to right hand side and click on any of the teapot types links and the new page will give you a link to Yixing history)
http://tinyurl.com/cdmjhsw
You won't find this info in English, unfortunately.
Pics. Here:

For example Zhou Rong Jin is a current craftsman from Factory 1. You can see some of his work in that link.
G'luck!

Thanks, this is helpful, even with the badness of google translate I've been able to confirm some dates, and even discover a source in German, which I'm able to make better sense of!

bagua7, do you know anything about owners of those pics? the wikipedia only uses images with permission-- that's why I was hoping some of other folks here could send me a photo of their own pots.
I can't just take images without asking.
I've found a lot of pictures that I would like to use, but people don't always respond when I email them for permission to use their images.

Chinese source. Try contacting the owner and explain that is for Wikipedia and it will be beneficial for everyone including his business.
