Should you feel that a new TeaChatter is a promising candidate for inclusion in the inner sanctum, please create a new thread in this forum with a poll for voting. Include the user's screen name in the poll question, limit your poll choices to an affirmative and a negative option, and set the poll's run time to 5 days. In the body of your post, please include a few reasons why you feel he or she should be admitted. Should anyone else have any comments on the user, they are invited to post those comments in that specific voting thread.
After 5 days of voting, the results will be tallied. Should the election carry with at least a 2/3rds majority, a Moderator will PM or e-mail the user with an invitation. If the user accepts, the Moderator will proceed to first delete the voting poll, update the roll of admitted users under the "Welcome" thread, then admit the new user. If a candidate fails to receive a 2/3rds majority vote, then he or she will not be admitted into the ITD fold. However, he or she can still nominated for election at a later date.
Promising candidates should--above all things--have a healthy obsession with tea and TeaChat. That is, they should be willing to both explore new aspects of tea and talk about them in a knowledgeable, constructive fashion. Naturally, they should also have fun in both tea and conversation. The best candidates should also have made friendships with other ITD members to show that they have that certain indescribable something that would make them a great contributer to this forum. Candidates should have--through posts and IM conversations--shown serious promise of continuing a longer membership with TeaChat. To help ensure this final quality, no new TeaChat member will be considered for ITD candidacy until they have reached at least one of the two following time requirements: 1 month's membership if they primarily communicate via IM or 2 month's membership if they primarily communicate via forums. If a candidate makes use of both the IM and forums, the 1 month limit takes precedence.
