Wow! Now I want to buy tea from them (and leave reviews for it)!
Speaking of, what is your favorite non-puerh tea from them? Their wuyi rock tea is looking especially interesting to me.

I have only tried puerh from them (minus an aged oolong out of stock)
But have been eying the lapsang for a while now (sold out), and all the yancha, as well as hong shui oolong, sparrow tongue green tea also looks good (sold out).

Corporate charity has always made me uncomfortable, and I work in fundraising.

It shouldn't, I guess, but just remember that they are only donating one penny per gram of tea, and fifteen cents per review. A cynical person might say that this is money they are happy to spend on effective advertising/marketing, and they can raise their prices to account for those costs. Buy their tea if you like it; just don't pat yourself on the back too much when you've indirectly contributed 75 cents to charity.

yes it may help boost advertising (as seen here), yes it may reinforce someones already inflated ego, miniscule amount in grand scheme etc etc, but the underlying point for me is someone/something does really indirectly benefit
a nice gesture to remind us of a proper idea, a dream, a little blip of hope, a little reminder or nudge in the right direction if you will, I think we could use more of that

How do you know it's only a penny per gram?

EoT's website wrote:

- Each tea review left on our website will fund the adoption of two square metres of Rainforest for a year
Those are links and you can click through to the details on the B1G1 website.

Aha, so they are...
$4.53/pound donation isn't going to make me buy a tea I wouldn't otherwise, but it is a nice gesture.
