Looking at the monthly tea tasting club thread, I find myself wondering...
Are there any "gee, I'd like to try..." teas in the backs of people's minds that might make for good monthly tastings (that haven't already been picked)?
With this group, it's something of a question of "What *hasn't* everyone tried?"
I started to post this question to the monthly tasting thread, then realized it could muddy up that thread's intent very quickly.

I second the yellow tea, also, anything weird or unusual you come across online. If I think of anything specific I'll let you know.

The yellow and tippy Assam have my interest piqued too. For my month, I'm trying to track down something from the former USSR. Something from Azerbaijan or Georgia. This is proving to be freaking hard. I've got one (count 'em...one) promising lead from a vendor whose thinks his Georgian supply will be replenished in the spring.
Fingers crossed...

Klingon Tea Ceremony leaf
The Klingon Tea Ceremony is a test of courage. The participants ingested tea brewed from a poisonous plant and recited poetry to each other. Worf stated that this was to teach that "Death is an experience best shared."
The tea used was lethal to Humans. However, Doctor Pulaski successfully completed the ceremony by treating herself with an antidote before the ceremony commenced. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder")
From the Memory Alpha Site but they don't give any sources of the leaf.
Seriously, Yellow leaf is something everyone of you should try once, I have, so I would leave a space for someone else that month unless it is one that is quite different from what I had. TeaSpring had some interesting selections, but some were quite smoky by their descriptions, not my preference.
I mentioned a tea tasting for the Assam tips in that thread and would like to try a really good one.
A couple Pu-erh, a really top notch Darjeeling, and always a green or white I haven't tried. Cha Wang TPHK is crazy good, and when it can be found, would be a most worthy tasting.

Yes, I already have a case of that on the way...last I looked, Wes' pagan male fertility blend was in the top 4. I saw an infomercial for it last night proclaiming incredible male enhancement results.
OK, thought of another, damn you Padre!!! A crazy good and insanely expensive gyokyuro. I am definately thinking about doing this one myself. I might go ahead and put it the schedule, unless someone wants to partner with me on it.

I have tentatively put it in for December, Ponch. I welcome your partnership with thanx!
If anyone else wants to partner this gyokuro, please post here, or under the Announcement thread, or PM me. 2 partners is good, 3 would be great. As with all the other tastings, all ITD members can participate when the time comes, just looking for a few partners to share the hosting.

Thanx, Tom. LOL...nope, no life partner obligations or anything.
The gyokuro will likely be a very good one, so a few hosters kicking in will lighten the load a little.
As I said before, I think, all ITD memebers can sign up for this sampling, just would like a few partners. With the addtion of Tom, making 3, that should be good.
